Before that time it was very expensive to buy a good wooden cot even if you could find one anywhere.
The main ones around had transfers on them which were not very popular. How times change, we love them now. There were a few nursery stores owned by two business people in London and they decided to address this challenge.
These two guys were out playing golf one day and met some businessmen from Italy who were waxing lyrical about Cosatto.
Cosatto had a fantastic reputation in Italy which had been built up by many generations of Italian parents. They loved the craftmanship so much that they would use nothing else in their baby’s nurseries.
A quick Italian trip by these two Englishmen created a deal for Cosatto to be introduced into the U.K.
Since then it has flourished into one of the top brands for nursery products in the whole world.
They expanded from their original wooden cots to manufacturing a wide range of pushchairs, prams, strollers and buggies as well as many other items needed to keep any little baby safe and happy.
The Supercover group bought Cosatto in 2003 after a long working relationship together.
More recently the product range has been given a major make over to reflect the needs of the mums and dads of today.
It is much funkier and cooler than ever before.
Nevertheless the feelings of those founders 30+ tears ago have not been overlooked. The principles of high quality, utmost safety and on top of that value for money, that the business was born under are still the main priority.

The Cosatto Budi Combi 3 in 1 travel system is the flagship of the range at present. It is simply the ultimate travel system. Its sister product the Cabi is not very far behind either.
